Go up one level in this thread
It goes without saying that this is sheer nonsense. If you did indeed play a variety of opponents and atained your rating through normal means then I can't see the problem. Furthermore, it is wrong to impose special rules because of someone's success. Reminds me of the time FIDE decided to award all women an extra 100 rating points with the exception the Polgar sisters. I forwarded the episode to Mig and he gives the same advice I was going to give: Just steer clear away from the site. Serious, what will they do when they get a human who is a blitz killer? Suppose the likes of Hawkeye (IM Schmaltz) or Dlugy (GM Dlugy) who are usually in the 3000 range in ICC appear? What then? Start resigning games for them as well??? In order to bring their rating to a more 'normal' level?? Bah! With that kind of attitude right from the beginning, they might consider shooting themselves in the knees for quicker but similar results. Albert Silver BTW, have you brought this up in RGCC and RGCM? You should.
