This alone could be misleading news for a potential >buyer if Elo is important. > >For most I think the 10 Mhz version was not value for money. hi Ray well there is really nothing to discuss as far as the Elo the SSDF tested both computers are here are the results: 123 Mephisto Polgar 6502 10 MHz 1942 43 -41 283 59% 1879 142 Mephisto Polgar 6502 5 MHz 1870 16 -17 1813 40% 1938 as can be seen the Polgar 10 is 72 points higher as far as i know the only difference is the clock speed and nothing else in the program was changed so i am not sure why you think my post was misleading as far as how a person would feel playing the Polgar vs the Polgar 10 that is a matter of the players strength i guess value for the money is also a matter of judgement people today are paying for every new Pc Program that is released and there are only small increases in Elo as a Collector i wanted both versions because it was one of the only instances in which Mephisto released the same program in two different clock speeds which i found interesting Best Steve
