hi Terry

>Why didn't you go for it Steve?
well i am what is called a "Purist" collector
i only try to collect chess computers that were released for sale in their
orinially released state
this means i dont go in for Prototypes and modified computers

however i will admit to you..IF i knew this was working..it would be mine right
now
:))

>It must be worth 600$, no? Who knows, you may have had a working signed
>prototype, or at least it may have been put into working order?

clearly this is what the winning bidder is banking on..that he can have it
repaired

but to be honest..there are not many people who can attempt a repair on a
computer this old in the entire planet and i know exactly who will be given the
computer for repair..lets just say..that i am less then 100% sataisfied he will
do the job for me..being located in the US as i am..seems generally i wind up on
the back burner and with the computer as defective and when i first send it to
him

Sad Truth Regards
Steve
