After reading some more on "Gib's" site, I noticed that Zia retracted his challenge. The challenge he issued in early 90's was for one million pounds. The match against Gib was not for this bet. Apparently, he got scared of computer progress :-) But he was boasting a lot in his book, published in 97. Reading his claims made me wonder. After all, how more difficult it can be to write a Bridge program from chess programs, I thought.
