With a big pot of relatively easy money beckoning, is it any surprise that the likes of Kamsky family will let go? Most of these players can only mouth big things. Remember how Shirov, Anand ended up playing a rival WC match, even though FIDE's contract prohibited such a thing. And they are not alone. As Garry (Kasparov) said, "I know these guys. They will go wherever the money is." At least Garry has his honor intact, refuses to play in Fide WCs, and still manages to keep winning strong tournaments. I for one, hope Gata is sent packing in the first round..
