I also understand that many people join and just read and never post. So do you
think all those people will want to send private details about themselves over
the net. What we going to use scan a drivers license, credit card number.

If you do not have a scanner photocopy and send it to ICD. All this when any
trouble maker can easily do all the other things I mentioned with ISP emails for
their provider. I think many would not bother becoming members.

I know with me, apart from a few posts, the rest does not interest me when I
come on here. The Reports page rarely has anything new, and when it does it
takes 1 minute to read and then we wait another 3 months for a new item.

Either way, if you pay for membership this place will be dead. And if you want
ID then people do not trust, they will just leave as well. And maybe the Uni
studend writing the next top chess program using a Uni computer who does not
have a non free email will also leave.

I think it is up to Steven to decide in the end. He can either have this place
flowing with ideas and people, or have this place dead as a door nail with only
the hard core computer chess people posting.

As with me I would be a ICC member if there was a better way to send finance
details to them. All the ways they have I do not like, thus I will never join.
