That's for sure, but I didn't really expect agreement. My sentiment was one of those late night things, you know, like, here's just more junk from that guy, I wish it wasn't there. But, what can you do? In an open forum like this, without real controls, it's next to impossible to do much. So the suggestion was admittedly a bit off. What some people don't realize is that my position isn't intended to produce a more restrictive environment, rather the opposite. Perhaps the days are gone when people could gather on the net to discuss serious issues in a grad school type atmosphere. Maybe that never really existed, personalities being what they are. But the idea is to provide a reasonable atmosphere, and the quality discussion will follow, and grow. I don't even care much if it's confined to computer chess or not; I'd rather have good discussions on the qualities of golf-ball dimples than bad discussions on computer chess. And yes, someone then has to decide what's good and what isn't. Judgements about value must be made. What a terrible thing. Anyway, I'm done. Sorry, no point, really. Although I used to think that was the point (not the main point, of course) of this place. Will
