Hi Ed,

I spoke to Robert on the phone and in person today, and there is a real problem
which he and about 1 or 2 other customers have had. As he described, the
install program seems to freeze at the point where it indicates to "press any
key to start the installation". The red blinking cursor does not blink on his
machine and no keystrokes are registered. I even heard the beep sound which you
get when the key buffer is filled up after he tried several keys. He brought
the CD back to the store and of course it worked fine on my machine. We could
not restart in DOS mode and install from there because his computer dealer did
not provide DOS mode CD-ROM drivers (or at least did not set them up in the
startup files). The only other thing I can think of was that he had Windows 98
Second edition, and I have the regular Windows 98 on my machine here. I will
try it on my home machine which does have the second edition to see if it has
the same problem. At this point it's moot as far as Robert is concerned, but I
am still curious...
