I think you're overestimating how much a multiprocessor computer costs. True, if
you order one from Dell or Micron, it will probably cost at least that much.
However, there are motherboards available that let you run dual Celerons. These
boards typically cost $120, and you can get Celerons for $60/ea.

So, if you have ~ $240 and some expertise at installing computer parts, you too
can have an SMP computer. =)
