Default.

Once in a while.

Yes.

No.

Don't care.

Yes. At least one hundred players for either format would be highly desirable.
Preferably 200 (with an eye to the future)

See above.

>6) Have you ever gone to the Library?

Sounds like a joke coming on...
Yes.

>7) Have you ever used the Opening Book Editor? If so, have you ever wished that

No. I would like to be able to do imports of large PGN books with lots of
control options.

I don't play online.

>9) Do you own Chessbase (any version)?

No.

Never been there. [Coupled with the library, this could make for some swell
jokes].

>11) Have you ever imported an XBoard compatible engine into Chessmaster?

Yes, lots of them.

>If so,
>what did you think of the import process and the overall XBoard support?

Went well enough. I especially like being able to use the ChessMaster book for
all of them. It may not be the strongest book imagineable, but at least the
strength of the book will be very uniform for all participants. I can import
an engine twice (giving it a new name) and have one version that uses its own
book and one that uses the ChessMaster book.

One that looks exactly like Winboard would be nice. I like 2-D.

>13) Have you ever changed the "wallpaper" for any room?

No. I would like to remove it altogether. It just makes clutter for me.

>14) What setting do you use for piece movement sounds (Spoken Move

I turn the sound off on my computers. It is just an annoyance for me.

>15) Does it bother you that Chessmaster 8000 requires the CD at all times?

It could be a problem if I want to run against another engine with the same
requirement. Thus far, I have not tried any such formation.

No.

Don't care much. At some point, I will try some of the more successful ones,
such as the one Sarah invented.

Not enough data to speculate.

>19) If you owned Chessmaster 6000/5500/5000, what do you think of the interface

Seems confusing. Less is more.

>20) What resolution do you use on your monitor?

1280x1024

>21) What windows do you REGULARLY have open in the Game Room?

Default

>22) Do you think there are too many "Windows" available in the Game Room?

Don't know.

>23) What chess set/board combination do you prefer to use?

2-D, as close to Winboard as possible.

>24) Do you wish that there were larger chess sets/boards included in the game?
>How about smaller chess sets/boards?

Not much of any opinion. I would like to have a Winboard like set, but that's
about it. There are a couple that are good enough to use.

No official rating. ChessMaster kicks my butt, but I still play against it at
the strongest level. I play against computers all the time. ChessMaster 5500
really humiliated me the first time I tried a game against it. Took me a while
to get up the nerve to try it again!
;-)
