It would seem from Mathias email that is true.
It is a little confusing since earlier Christophe and Dr. Hyatt were
writing about the issue. Christophe wrote it could be turned off
as position learning wouldn't help the tests and Dr. Hyatt wrote against
the idea of turning it off. Could be that Dr. Hyatt wasn't aware learning
was off in the Fritz GUI. Or was there some confusion as they may have been
thinking of book learning which is irrelevant with Nunn 1.

There are a number of others that seem to create learn files.
Phalanx, Nimzo, comet.
