You did know that we were doing over 1M nodes per second in 1989?

The C90 was available.  We used it in Canada for 3 of the games.

That is probably right.  1986 CB was doing 200K nodes per second.  It would
_not_ be a cake walk, I can guarantee you, but I think the hardware 15 years
later is too much of a handicap.  1986 CB on a 2000 Cray would be an _entirely_
different animal and I would take CB at any time.  7M nps is the number for a
T90.
