I was surprised to see the position coming on the board. A few remarks: I clearly remember the initiative to play the Belgrade was mine and mine alone. Marcus was against it as the Belgrade was too risky. The Belgrade is not good for white when black defends well. It was a bit gambling from my side and it turned out well. Furthermore Shredder was 2 moves longer in the book than Rebel. That's my story. If you conclude Marcus broke his oath so be it. Sue him and I hope you lose. I sincerely believe Marcus did nothing wrong. I asked him to operate Tiger and he did a fine job. Seeing him sued for that makes me angry as I feel it as my obligation to take good care of people who have helped me. Marcus is just like many here in CCC a passionate computer chess lover who loves ALL chess programs and due to circumstances got the chance to operate one of his favorite chess programs in a WCCCM and I did not put tape on his mouth to forbid him to communicate with me. 6-7 days we only talked about computer chess and nothing to your disadvantage has been said. Preparing the opening for each game was the job of Jeroen and me alone. If Marcus gave his comments he had every right to do that as he has been born with a tongue. The only thing he contributed was something that was used in the Tiger-Nimzo game because something was wrong with the Tiger book game and the trick worked quite well. Again: nothing has been said to your disadvantage. Whatever your wars with Marcus he did a fine and honest job in London and I hope the 2 of you are able to find your way out. But maybe he just remembers things just a bit different than I?
