This is misleading.
The disease is in those GUIs, like CHESSBASE, that send "new", "force", and
other things before every move.
If Shredder does this too, then its implementation is also diseased.

The ERT has no such disease.

Let me rephrase more accurately what you said:
"The CHESSBASE implementation of the Winboard protocol is DISEASED, as are
all others that send "new" before every move, etc., etc."
