I don't see where he said anything "out of line".  We have been asked, in the
past, to not allow Fischer threads to spring up and survive.  We discussed this
when we formed CCC.  And everyone agreed that this should be kept to computer
chess, with just minor off-topic advances here and there.  But Fischer is a
different type of subject that spins wildly off into "is", "isn't", "is too",
"is not", "is too and your momma wears army boots" and so forth.  And it
happens very quickly.  While none of us (the moderators) like to stop such
threads, it is what we are supposed to do...
