Well if Anyone knows what version WChess is that drew Deep Blue , How would that
Compare with Top Programs? Mr Hyatt said it was on a PA chip which is a 64bit
CPU as far as i know, how fast is that compared with the 1200Mhz Athlon?

Anyhow programs like Wchess,Zarkov, Nimzo3, and Virtual Chess Though to quote
several different people from a response to my post on positional play were
among the best at that. Hiarcs 7.32 obviously is not going to be number 1 on the
list but how about the others? Not number 1 but wouldn't the faster speed make
up for their age. I am mainly curious how far the positional monsters have to
go to compete with the Tactical demons and especially that Wchess that drew i
would guess that it has to be very similar to the one on the list , can you say
to draw Deep Blue it has to be within 396 points so if program X on the list
beats Wchess by 800 points (i don't think any program on the list can ) you
could say despite weather you think programs like deep fitz are better that they
are atleast in the same ball park.
