Well, I think that if you buy a tv and it falls in the floor and crashes, or if you buy a car and have an accident, or if your house burns, in neither case you get a free replacement from the seller. We live with that, so I think we can live with the fact that if a CD gets broken we lose it and need to buy a new one. So my humble opinion is: no backup copies. They are usually (I don't mean your case, of course) an excuse for piracy. José C.
