Go up one level in this thread

  Are
>all dedicated units that weak?

well it is not really fair to compare any dedicated unit to a PC..even those
dedicated units 2300-2400 ELO
however no of course not all dedicated units will preform as poorly as the
Designer 2100

if we want to stay just within the Fidelity Designer Series we have the Designer
Mach III Master which was rated 2265(USCF) OR even better the Designer Mach IV
rated 2325 USCF
both computers would do far better then the 2100
what you have there is basically the Par Program

in another thread i posted a position which the Mach III solved instantaneously

how long does it take your Designer 2100 to find N-G3+ in this position?

[D] 8/6k1/1P1p2p1/3Ppn2/3q4/8/6PP/rR2QB1K b - - 0 1

i am betting somewhat much longer then.. instantaneously
Steve
