Nowhere does it say (at least I cannot see it) that this attacks random exe's on
a hard drive. So how did it get into Fafis.exe?

Fafis.exe with 2.0 (infected version) does play chess. It plays exactly the same
chess as 2.1 (not infected). It is not UCI which I seem to remember reading that
the test version was. It has a seperate adapter now. It also does not support
analyse mode anymore either which I seem to remember it also did in it's test
phase. Why? Maybe that is a question for Rafael although.

I'm a bit puzzled too.
