I was watching this auction and intended to bid at the very end, as I usually do. However, the seller ended the auction early. I am certain that he sold the computers to somebody that made him an offer that seemed to be a good deal, but is no doubt a lousy price compared to the worth of the computers. Since there were no bids on the auction, the seller can do this within the rules of eBay. I would not be a bit surprised to find that the buyer was the very same and infamous Amiswebos, from Spain, who has done this frequently in the past. However, the tactics seem to have changed. In the past he would place an early and nominal bid, and then make an offer to the seller. Since he would be the current high bidder, if the seller chose to end the auction and sell it to him, this would not be against eBay rules. I, recently, got into a very heated and nasty email exchange with Amiswebos. Well, he was "heated and nasty", anyway. :-) He threatened me with all sorts of stuff, including legal action, when I told him that I was planning on alerting any sellers of items that he had a bid on, and I was interested in. I wanted to be certain that the sellers would be aware of other people's interest and the fact that Amiswebos liked to "steal" items buy offering a fraction of the true worth. I am quite suspicious that this might be his way of avoiding my "outting" him to sellers. So I might have to place an early and nominal bid on stuff that I am interested in to prevent this. The game is afoot. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=5232161806&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT Redisgusted Regards, Dick Schneiders
