Dick,even placing an early bid will not prevent a seller from going around Ebay i have seen auctions closed with MANY bids in place I once contacted a seller in anger when an auction was closed that i was watching very closely he emailed me back "my dog ate the computer" having a bid in place might make the seller think twice about closing it early but at the end of the day it will probably not do any good besides you lose more then you gain by declaring your interest early with an early bid when someone like me sees your name on the bidders list and if i am interested in the computer i simply add more to my last second bid :)) Disgusted As Well Regards Steve
