Go up one level in this thread

Not bad... a husband of a friend of my wife ran too. I prefer playing badminton
over running... ;)

You didn’t read my post. *sigh* The time scales for the Sparc and the CM
wouldn’t be the same. Besides the exact version is not known. Not possible.

Btw, even if it was, the argument goes the wrong direction: accurate measuring,
regardless which way, gives you the number you want. You could confirm it with a
different setup but this wouldn’t change the result.

I don’t see any analogy. It’s a different example how I use dedicated
schachcomputers.

If a chess playing entity X produces the same moves in the same amount of time
as Y then for measuring purposes I can take in matches X instead of Y to get the
right number. If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck… ;)

If two different entities A and B produce the same moves like C and D
respectively but quicker, to get a result of a match I can use A and B instead.
The concept behind it is as clear as it can be.

>and this is why i object to the inclusion of the V11,a modified computer

This, however, is a completely different story... (And we disagree here either)
:)
