What!?   Luddites among us?  Advanced chess would lead to a lot of draws
assuming equal hardware/software.  Computers are only tools and not replacements
for the human brain... yet....!!

If a person has a photographic memory and can memorize thousands of openings to
a depth of forty ply or more then what is the difference between this and a
computer?  I suppose that you think that using a computer is "cheating", but is
it a fair contest to pit a normal person against such a person?

Computers are adjuncts to the human brain.  There is nothing wrong with using
one in man-man chess contests.  We design computers with computers and we design
automobiles with the aid of computers.
