Advanced chess would lead to a lot of draws assuming equal hardware/software. Computers are only tools and not replacements for the human brain... yet....!! If a person has a photographic memory and can memorize thousands of openings to a depth of forty ply or more then what is the difference between this and a computer? I suppose that you think that using a computer is "cheating", but is it a fair contest to pit a normal person against such a person? Computers are adjuncts to the human brain. There is nothing wrong with using one in man-man chess contests. We design computers with computers and we design automobiles with the aid of computers.
