A single draw already kicks you back a lot of points. As the K factor of ICC is 32 and the rating change is calculated after each game! It is weird but true that 3 0 is just as good for now for humans against DIEP as 2 15 level. the reason perhaps is that diep's parallellism doesn't work well when just having very few seconds a move, together with the slow nps of diep that gives at most 5 or 6 ply at 3 0, even at a dual 550 celeron. I don't know the speedups of crafty or ferret at very quick blitz levels, but it's hard for me to assume they do parallel much better at 3 0. getting near to 10 ply seems an IMPORTANT depth to me! Some tough players came in, like KingWay (IM) and terribleblow (GM) and kicked its ass game after game in closed positions! Also a lot of games get lost because diep doesn't have learning and the same game gets played over and over again (though i have problems calling that learning, lossprevention would be a better word) Now currently the vars of secret (diep linux not the newest version though but regurarly updated) is next: formula = "autocolor & !freeweek & !wild & (rating>=2200+300*blitz|rating>=2300&time<=3&inc=0) & ((time<=5&inc<=3)|(standard&etime<=60)) & (!computer | unrated)" Channels: 64 194 interface="xboard 4.0.3 + diep" So basically playing all players above 2500 at blitz if not a computer. I wonder why neither Moron nor Secret is in the list of Will. Comments will? Has it to do with the fact that both are dual machines? I mean: Judgeturpin is a 266PII getting 5 ply sometimes 6 ply in blitz. Hard to take ratings based upon a 5 or 6 ply serious! Moron & secret get 7 to 9 ply in blitz. Compare that to programs like nimzo getting always 9 to 11 ply in any blitz game :) Note that beadle runs on the same machine as Judgeturpin. >MissSilicon 2689 10.13 | 62% 52 1095 | 2734 2544 140 >zchess1 2687 10.13 | 77% 7 148 | 2736 2613 0 >Talmoves 2642 9.51 | 35% 91 1894 | 2767 2473 140 >Grok 2579 9.72 | 57% 4 85 | 2588 2463 35 >PostModernist 2548 9.60 | 63% 127 2643 | 2706 2471 145 >RedBear 2542 9.77 | 60% 27 569 | 2615 2375 99 >ArasanX 2521 9.69 | 61% 35 734 | 2645 2432 140 >Beadle 2517 10.38 | 79% 89 1847 | 2660 2438 21 >inmichess 2514 9.48 | 43% 4 96 | 2514 2337 14 >JudgeTurpin 2494 10.29 | 74% 68 1416 | 2637 2431 21 >EXchess 2489 9.22 | 42% 3 66 | 2489 2377 6 >Hossa 2450 9.63 | 59% 419 8694 | 2525 2319 145 >Amateur 2427 9.80 | 51% 57 1194 | 2535 2307 140 >GKJunior 2041 8.02 | 84% 185 184 | 2061 2041 6 >--------------------------------- > Blitz, sorted by R(mhz) >--------------------------------- What is R for kind of function.
