I disagree with this of course. The programmers will give chessbase the source code because they want to have a chessbase engine. SOS is commercial in the young talent and people buy it. The programmer probably knows that if he is not going to give chessbase the source code it is not going to be an engine for chessbase. Bob Hyatt explained that it is impossible for him to compile crafty as an engine for chessbase without having the chessbase source code and I do not think that chessbase will give their source code for the programmers of SOS or other chessbase engines.
