I will write a five-in-a-row (I hope that's the correct name) program. It's a silly project where a robot will do the moves on a whiteboard. I was thinking of doing it like a chess program with the obvious changes. Since listening to people at e.g. this place gives an amateur a tremendous input when it comes to writing a chess program, I would be very happy if someone can point me to info about implementations of this game. I guess there are lot of tricks for move generation, board representation and in particular the evaluation. It would be nice to not have to reinvent all the wheels again, especially since my time is limited. Also, at what strength are (good) programs of this type playing? The obvious guess would be that they are practically unbeatable? Source code would also be accepted :) Thanks in advance Ralf
