Most programmers who post here are highly qualified and very competent in computer chess and related fields. This forum is pretty unique in that chess programmers and the program users get a chance to share views and comment. Note that this is a privilage : dont abuse it by badmouthing each and every decision of the programmer. Giving opinion is one thing , but the tone of lot of the messages posted on the on the 'zappa controversy' is absolute pits. Dont try to drive away the programmers by the partisan and confrontational attitude : technical discussions is one thing , namecalling and slandering is another. It should not end up a case of "if a tree fall in a forest with no one around to hear the crash, is a sound produced?" I usually enjoy reading here , hope it remains that way.
