Just check out several of your own games against your favorite program to see how many seconds per move you are using and take an average and do this for blitz and standard controls, then you can just add this amount of extra time to your own clock for the particular time control you took an average of! I'am sure there are players already doing this so this is nothing new. I think this is especially a more fair way of playing against the beasts as most of them don't lose any time in the opening. There is another point to make which is that the beast gives back alot of this time that it gained in the opening stage by using up several seconds for a move that is very obvious to a human that will use only one second. This happens alot of times where there are checks and there is only one or two obvious moves to make, but the beast uses several seconds off the clock before it makes it's move thus giving back alot of time which it gained from the opening! Thanks for any input on this subject, Regards, Terry
