I think that 20...Qe8 was the decisive mistake.

Chessmaster after more than 10 minutes can see that the evaluation of Qe8 is
more than 4 pawns for white and changes its mind to a4.

black is losing a pawn after a4 but has a chance to survive
after 20...a4 21.Rxf6 axb3 I did not find a win for white and I guess that black
has enough chances when the a file is opened.

20...a4 21.Rxf7 Qe8 is better for white but white has to work in order to win.
