When someone gets an email forwarded from their boss, they generally follow up on it. I think in that situation you should wait a day or two, and if you still don't hear back from the techie, it's fair to email Chris again and say you're just not getting customer support. Doing what you did lessens your chance of receiveing proper support, because they may think you're just a crank. People sometimes treat techs badly: do they really think that will improve the service they get? It's quite the opposite. Techs are usually pretty busy, and often the people who shit on them are the people whose stuff ends up at the bottom of the todo list. Here, it's a little different, you're treating Chris badly for doing his job. That, I don't understand. Dave
