Thank you for the reply.
After reading one of the earlier posts on the possibility that the most recent
Fritz 7 upgrade may have caused engine strength reduction, and noticing poor
play myself, I uninstalled Deep-Fritz 7. I had multiple copies of the previous
upgraded Fritz 7 engines. However, it was Deep-Fritz 7 that I had noticed the
poor play with. So, when I completely uninstalled Deep-Fritz 7, I let the
uninstall take the Deep-Fritz 7 engine with it. When I reinstalled the
Deep-Fritz 7 program, I then had a brand new Deep-Fritz 7 engine and program
interface. I chose not to try the newest upgrade, yet I still had the result
that I included with my recent post. A HORRIBLE game.
I can't blame the poor play on the upgrade, when I have a freshly installed
Deep-Fritz 7 engine and program.
In engine tournaments run on my single Processor PC using only one computer,
Fritz 7 was out performing Deep-Fritz 7 or coming out even in various time
controls. This was before I tried any upgrades after first installing the DF7
program which I received 2 weeks ago.

It appears that we are being lied to when they say that DF7 is stronger than F7
even if only a single processor is used.
If you remember, the same thing was said of Deep Fritz as compared to Fritz 6.
( "Increased endgame knowledge and increased positional play") I find it odd
that they would use the same exact wording for this advertisement, yet I still
bought it, pardon the pun.
Perhaps it should be called Deep-Putz 7.
All replies welcome and looked forward to.
Regards
Brian
