Hi Gian Carlo,

the first:

I am sure that you will not speak for other programmers, like the programmer of
TheKing or Rebel. I like to see that you speak with your words in a discuss with
myself. I am sure that you have friends, like Johan de Koning or Ed Schröder but
for the moment you discuss with myself and it seems that you must learn not a
little bit ... you must learn a lot of!

I don't know the tournament results of Leo Dijksman!
After my test games Ruffian 2.0.0 scored over 60% vs. your engine. I know that
your engine is very strong and I like your engine and your development ... see
Arena News Ticker ... but in fact Ruffian 2.0.0 is very very strong.

I don't say that Ruffian is the strongest program in the World ... Shredder is
for me a fantastic strong program ... but I say that Ruffian is the strongest
WinBoard engines in the World "TODAY" is. I am sure that the other programmers
make a great work too and I don't know how strong are the latest not available
versions of TheKing, Rebel or Sjeng.

With "Today" I meaning available engines and we can start a tournament every
time with the WB engines which are available and which you like and I am
absolutly sure that Ruffian 2.0.0 will win. I am speaking from a tournament with
minimal 8 engines and minimal 20 games for every eng-eng match!

You are ready to start such a tournament on your system ...
I am ready to start!

Best
Frank
