 Hi Tom,

It seems to me that in the Public Arena of ideas and specifically here at
CCC we have to have a certain degree of "thick skin", mental toughness if we
are to deal with the multiplicity of not only the issues at hand, but also
the cultural, social-economic etc. differences that are present. I don't
think that we should ever get to a place where one feels they have to walk
on "egg shells" when they post here. It seems that there are many here who
are not able or willing to deal with antagonistiic comments by those who
differ. All I can say is in the real world people are not always polite,
kind, or considerate of others. This is reality and it will not change.
Some just need to understand that others are not obligated to stroke their
ego. People will say things we don't like to hear its just a fact of life.
There will always be adversarial issues, and for that matter people as well.
If anyone has something to say then say it.....if we are not willing to fight
our own battles then the cause must not be worth much. You have to be tough
minded to engage your opponent whether on the battle field, chess board or in
this case a discussion forum :).
