Hi, Crafty has not been designed to run on numa - the current version will choke as number of processors increase. The way search is getting split , memory and cache affinity , etc will have to be taken into account. Also it may have to stop using threads and move towards processes. These maybe the basic changes - so as you can see - huge rewrite that "may" degrade perf on non-numa machines.
