I don't know what happened. If he applied three days late (I don't know if this is true), then they should probably have not held this against him. If he applied after the entries were selected and announced, what would you do? Tell someone they couldn't go? And if you simply add them, making the tournament one program larger, how do you explain to the people on the wait list that there was an extra invisible spot reserved for MChess? Why wasn't one of the wait list programs chosen for this spot. I don't have any independent information about this. The only information I have about MChess is from you. It sounds like they are #1 on the wait list. Assuming they applied after the entries were selected, isn't this a good compromise situation? The ICCA doesn't have to bump anyone out of the tournament, but there is a very very good chance that another program will drop out, and MChess will get to play. I don't know when they applied. I don't know what the wait list situation is. I don't know what the ICCA has said to Schreiner/Hirsch. I don't know the contents of any mail sent from Schreiner/Hirsch to the ICCA. >These seem to be the facts. I think this is still "closed", which was the result of our vote. bruce
